Robin Black is known to many Canadians as a loud mouthed, tight-pants wearing, make-up smeared rock and roll singer, the obnoxious judge on the MUCHMUSIC VJ Search, and the star of the recent MUCHMUSIC special "Robin Black: Cage Fighter". But spend five minutes with Black and you quickly realize that the arrogant personality he plays is nothing more than a fabulous acting job he whips up for TV.
Black, a lifelong Martial Artist, is serious about pursuing a career in mixed Martial Arts. He holds a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is a recent Pan AM Jiu-Jitsu Bronze medalist, as well as a NAGA WORLDS No-Gi Grappling Champion. He is currently training in Boxing, Wrestling, BJJ, and Muay Thai with Claude Patrick in preparation for his first pro MMA fight in July. Black has just joined Team Xtreme Couture Toronto and will also be on site at MMA Expo handling MC duties for many of the MMA celebrity autograph sessions.
